Blue Green Yonder
'A group of experts, providing activities to explore the natural world with outposts that attract the visitor and our communities'

OUR STORY
Some places are meant to be travelled slowly. The Fermanagh Lakelands are one of them.
Here, the water moves at its own pace — unhurried, ancient, carrying the stories of islands, monasteries, and quiet inlets that have watched centuries pass. Long before Blue Green Yonder had a name, we found ourselves drawn to these waters, returning again and again to the soft light, the echo of wings, the hush that settles when the paddle breaks the surface.
We began as instructors, working with young people and community groups, teaching skills and building confidence. But somewhere along the way, the lakes became more than a backdrop. They became the heart of what we do — a place where people could breathe differently, see differently, feel differently.
As Ambassadors for the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, and the Waterways Ireland Blueways, we move through one of the most extraordinary cross‑border waterway systems in the world. Every journey reveals something new: a heron lifting from the reeds, a sudden clearing of sky, a forgotten ruin appearing around a bend.
Our guided paddles — whether part of the Blue Green Yonder membership or crafted as a bespoke adventure — are invitations. To slow down. To listen. To let the landscape tell its story.
Because out here, the water holds more than reflections. It holds memory. It holds possibility. And it’s waiting to share both with you.
